Whether we handle your project on an hourly basis or a flat-fee basis will depend upon the nature of the project. We love to handle furnishings-only projects on a flat-fee basis, while we handle construction-related projects on an hourly basis. Please note that the minimum contract for our design services is $8,000.
After the initial consultation we will provide you with a service proposal that includes an estimate based on the scope and complexity of the project.
Every project is different, and pricing will vary greatly based on finishes and square-footage. If you’re unsure of your budget or what a project may cost, we’ll do our best to walk you through all that during our Discovery Call, so you can make an informed decision!
Every project is different and we’ll provide an estimated timeline in your proposal. The design phase takes anywhere from 8-16 weeks, depending upon the scope of the project. From there, ordering, furniture production, shipping, and project management can take anywhere from 16-20 weeks or more.
A typical furnishing project takes about 4-6 months from start to finish, and a large renovation or build project can take a year or more.
While we are Chicagoland-based, we love to travel! With the help of technology and great communication skills, we’re able to work from a distance. As part of our process, we travel to sites at select project milestones, as well as for furniture installation day(s).
We love incorporating our client’s existing pieces and heirlooms as they bring soul and emotion into a space. We will, however, be honest about whether or not the piece will pose limitations on the design, or simply won’t work.
Our team takes measurements in person. A meeting is scheduled when the design team is ready to begin the project. For remote projects, clients can take their own measurements (accepting responsibility for any potential errors) or work with a technologist or architect for the measurements.
As soon as possible! We love when clients reach out to us in the very early stages of their renovations or new builds to ensure we have enough time for proper planning and execution.
